Fun isn't possible without putting safety first.

At Wild Smiles we strive to build, learn and play. Rules and safety guidelines are an integral part of fun. Full rules and guidelines will be given in your registration pamphlet, which can be located and downloaded at the bottom of this page. Simply press on the click here icon. Registration will be on the same document. Here you will be able to provide all pertinent information about your child and sign the agreement forum.

Illness & Injury

Our basic policies include transparency of illnesses. A sniffle doesn't bother us, but we must also consider the fast spread of more serious conditions. Temperatures of over 101 are asked to stay home or will be sent home. Active coughs that aren't caused by pre-exesting conditions such as asthma are asked to stay home and be cleared by a physician to confirm it is no longer contagious. Sores caused by viruses such as chicken pox, water warts, etc are asked to also be treated and cleared prior to return. Stomach sickness and symptoms such as vomiting must have stopped for at least 24 hours. We completely understand, kids get sick, we just ask that you are mindful.

If providers are sick we are unable to provide childcare to others so please be considerate in using your best judgement with others in mind.

Allergies

We are a peanut and tree nut free program! Please do not bring any items that are made with nuts or contain nuts. "May Contain" or "Made in the same facility" are acceptable. Nuts are a high allergen food and a common allergen for many people! If your child has any other allergies we require an epi-pen in their bag for use at any time and we must be made aware of any allergies known. We are well versed in the admission of the device and proper protocol involving epinephrine.

Bee and wasps stings: If your child has never been stung early pickup for parental monitoring is required until we are certain they are not severely allergic.

Meals

We ask that you pack your child a daily lunch and some just in case snacks. Especially if they are registered for full and 3/4 days. Please bring a full water bottle daily! 2 healthy snack options will be offered daily for full time and 3/4 scheduled kiddos!

Behavior

Children are learners… we understand and can easily handle tantrums, arguments, and normal altercations. Sometimes kids lack the proper speech to express their anger or misread social cues. Toddlers especially go through periods of learning where they might be prone to aggression or possessive moments. Biting happens. Pushing happens. We will report any and all instances on a daily handout so their behavior can be praised or corrected based off the day they had.

We will take all arguments and physical altercations on a case to case basis. Our goal is protect all children while leaving room for learning and growth.

Payments and Fees

Payments are due bi-weekly by Saturday and will be charged for the two prior weeks of care. We can offer reminders to parents who request it, but you are responsible for timely payments to maintain your slot. Payments can be made through Venmo, Cash App or check.

Everyone needs a vacation, but we do require a 2 week notice from family and to family of any foreseeable absences such as vacations, appointments, etc. If 2 week heads up isn’t given you will be charged for their absence. This rule excludes last second illness, family emergencies, etc.

Social Media

We love being silly and taking photos to send parents as updates. Only children with signed waivers and consent will appear on our socials. We ask that if your child comes to camp with electronics that they stay in their personal bags unless there is an emergency and that they refrain from taking photographs of others.

Sunscreen

The Utah sun can bring days of fun, but with those rays come sunburns. We ask that you apply before arrival and with a signed waiver approve the re- application from our staff.

Sign Ups

Summer slots are open for sign up starting January second of every year. Summer camp runs June through August (specific days will differ based off each school year). School year slots will open June second. This slot will run August through May. Spots may open up based on demand and we will allow parents to be wait listed on a FCFS basis. Once slots are filled there may be openings for part time drop ins.

Declining Services

If you have any issues or questions please reach out. We strive to give you and your child the best experience possible. We are always open to suggestions and may implement them.

We maintain our own rights to refuse services for (but not limited to) the following reasons

-Too many tardies. 20% or more. Please communicate with us if you have an emergency or any car troubles.

-Missing or being tardy on payments. We allow for a grace period but we must maintain the finances of our company in order to fund the program and our own bills.

-Knowingly disregarding policies. Our policies are to be taken seriously as they protect your children and our employees. The safety of all is a serious matter and not one we take lightly. Please refer to rules listed above.

-No longer a good fit. Sometimes children outgrow our program and sometimes a childs needs go beyond our scope. We love our students and strive to have them placed in an environment best suited for them.

-Persistent aggression or disobedience. Big feelings happen. Sometimes words and actions are done. We are equipped to handle issues such as these. However if the behavior is daily or persists with redirection or endangers another child, we cannot maintain services. This could be a liability. Children who cause harm physically or mentally to others persistently are also a liability. We will ask that those children find a service that is a better fit.

We only allow for 8 children to every one adult.

Injuries

Kids get hurt. At Wild Smiles we strive to keep children safe, but life can happen. Injuries will be noted to parents, photographed, and properly cared for by staff. Serious injuries will be handled as required. If emergency services are dispatched we will contact you and any emergency contact as soon as possible. Any use of medical equipment (inhalers, Epi-Pens) will be noted. If medicine is needed daily we must have it on hand with a doctors note.

We are CPR and first aid certified.
